Bio

Greta Hoffmeister is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in the fields of painting, drawing and collage, complimented by sculpture and installation. Her art emphasizes shape, color, and material and uses these elements to investigate conversations and interactions between individuals and with oneself. Hoffmeister’s artwork also explores the formation of an identity, specifically a female identity, and the implications of the ownership and occupation of female space. 

Hoffmeister is originally from New York and Connecticut, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) in art history with minors in painting and business from the University of Southern California. Hoffmeister’s work has been featured as a part of several group exhibitions including at the USC Roski School of Art and Design, Huntington School of Fine Arts, Silvermine Arts Center, Darien Hall, Rowayton Arts Center, Bruce Museum, and King School. In 2021 she received a Distinction in Art and Design from King School. Currently, Hoffmeister continues to live and work in both Los Angeles, California and New York, New York.
